Photon dosimeters are used for measuringradiation in applications such as environmental monitoring, emergency responseand protection of workers to protect people from the harmful effects ofionising radiation. The update of the basic standard for photon referenceradiation fields in radiation protection, ISO 4037, in conjunction with the newradiation protection quantities introduced in ICRU Report 95 (InternationalCommission on Radiation Units and Measurements), have presented challenges tocalibration laboratories and industry. The on-going EURAMET 22NRM07GuideRadPROS project provides protocols and guidance to metrology institutes,standardisation bodies and regulators for a consistent and harmonised approachto radiation protection measurements and calibrations following ISO 4037. Thiswebinar introduces the major results of the GuideRadPROS project. 
Hayo Zutz (PTB) presents a summary of the measurements campaign to test thecurrent requirements for reference fields in ISO 4037 and the conclusions drawnfor updating the requirements. Additionally, a short introduction into the GoodPractise guides for X-ray reference field spectrometry and data analysis isgiven.  
Nikola Krzanovic (VINS) presents a summary of the collection of calibrationdata on currently used radiation protection dosemeters and a comparison againstdu existing IEC type test requirements. Possible updates to the standards willbe briefly discussed.
